An energy company serving approximately 1,000,000 electric customers and 420,000 natural gas customers has worked with Zirous since 2013 on a multi-phase project to implement OIM 11gR2 PS3.
Within the implementation of OIM 11gR2 for this energy company, it was common for employees to switch roles over the course of their employment. As they move between different positions, they often will no longer need to access the same applications and systems to carry out their new responsibilities. Allowing users to keep the old access can increase security risks and it is best practice for the old access to be removed. To address this risk, Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) can be configured to allow the incoming manager to review the employee's access with a certification.
